On May 11th we hosted a Technology Seminar at the Oil museum in Stavanger. The event was focused on the Magseis proprietary Marine Autonomous Seismic System (MASS), new technology developments – such as the new modular crew and next generation cable crew which will take another quantum leap for increased efficiencies and reduced cost.
We also presented experiences from operations where the MASS system has proven its step-changing efficiencies in OBS surveys. A number of key people from Magseis gave a deeper insight into the different aspects of Magseis’s proprietary technology, and some of the challenges that we have overcome when operating in complex fields worldwide. The Technology Seminar also featured guest presentations from Seismic Apparition on “Signal apparition: A seismic shift for simultaneous source separation” and from Statoil on “ Overview of Seabed seismic in Statoil”.
The attendance, interest and engagement during our technology seminar was highly rewarding. We held the first Technology Seminar in Oslo in November 2016 , and this second Technology seminar in Stavanger. For the third seminar, we will try our best to communicate the next seminar as early and widely as we can here on our website and on our LinkedIn Company page.
A warm thank you to all the participants and attendees for creating a vibrant and dynamic event on this occasion. Please follow us on Linkedin and here on our website for the next seminar.
We look forward to seeing you.
